Water: Water when the top layer of soil is dry.
Soil:
Rich, loose, well-draining soil. Potting Mix Recipe: 1 part peat moss or
coco coir, 1 part perlite and/or vermiculite. 1 part topsoil. An
all-purpose store-bought potting mix will do fine as well. Ideal pH level:
mildly acidic to mildly alkaline (6.1-7.8)
Fertilize: once or twice a year or more. Follow fertilizer instructions.
Seasons of Interest:
winter (evergreen). In colder temperatures, the foliage will turn
red.
Toxicity: All parts of plant are poisonous if ingested. Handling plant may cause skin irritation or allergic reaction.
